Lyocell Fiber Application Trend Theme Forum Was Successfully Held In Shanghai

On March 12, the "Lyocell Fiber Application Trend Theme Forum" sponsored by Lyocell Fiber Branch of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association was successfully held at Shanghai 2025 Yarnexpo Spring and Summer Yarn Exhibition. Chen Xinwei, President of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, Lv Jiabin, Vice President, and Jiang Junzhou, Former Vice President attended the event. Zhang Zixin, Secretary General of Lyocell Fiber Branch of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, together with Cheng Renji, Director of POP-Fashion Fabric Trend Center, Han Mingxing, Chief Engineer of Tianzhihua, and Shen Shoubing, Director of Mercury Home Textile Technology Center, shared the application trend of Lyocell fiber, and analyzed its industrialization development path from process upgrading to scene innovation.

Chen Xinwei, President of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, pointed out in his speech that Lyocell fiber has developed rapidly in recent years and its application fields have been expanding. In 2024, China's Lyocell production capacity will account for more than 60% of the world's total, and the domestic Lyocell production will exceed 400000 tons, with a year-on-year growth of 27.4%. It is transitioning from "small and refined" to mainstream chemical fiber varieties. In the key window period of its development, in order to break the technical bottleneck of each downstream industry chain link and overcome the important problems that restrict its development, China Chemical Fiber Industry Association will continue to carry out the research work on Lyocell's application trend, actively unite the forces of upstream and downstream parties in the industry chain, promote collaborative innovation of upstream and downstream of Lyocell's fiber industry chain, and inject new momentum into the development of the industry.

Zhang Zixin shared the application and development trend of Lyocell fiber. He said: "With the gradual expansion and extension of Lyocell's industrial chain, upstream enterprises such as yarn, fabric, printing and dyeing are deepening their understanding of Lyocell, and have been able to clearly grasp its characteristics." He predicted that in the next few years, Lyocell fiber will be more widely used in clothing, home textile and other fields, and at the same time, the price will show a gradually pro people development trend.
