"Carbon Crazy" Zhang Guoliang Vigorously Promotes The Research And Development Of Advanced Materials! Guoliang Building (Advanced Material Manufacturing Equipment Experiment Building) Of Wuhan University Of Technology Was Unveiled
On the morning of December 8, Guoliang Building (Advanced Material Manufacturing Equipment Experiment Building) of Wuhan University of Technology was officially unveiled. Zhang Guoliang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Lianyungang Yingyou Textile Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd., Xin Sijin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University of Technology, Meng Fangbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and others attended the unveiling ceremony.
In his speech, Xin Sijin expressed sincere thanks to Chairman Zhang Guoliang and alumni for their long-term concern and support for the development of the school. He pointed out that the completion of the "Guoliang Building" will vigorously promote the construction and development of the Advanced Materials Manufacturing Equipment and Technology Research Institute, which also marks a new stage of school enterprise cooperation between the school and Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. The university will further work hand in hand and closely with alumni at home and abroad and friends from all walks of life to help build a new highland of high-quality development in the service industry of colleges and universities. With high-quality development of schools and industries, the university will provide services to support the strategy of strengthening education and science and technology, and make due contributions to the times for national prosperity, national rejuvenation and people's happiness!
Zhang Guoliang reviewed his way of study in his alma mater more than 40 years ago and his struggle in the field of carbon fiber, It has made due contributions to China's economic development and national security. He expressed his ardent expectations for the Advanced Materials Manufacturing Equipment and Technology Research Institute, hoping that the Institute would answer the important proposition of the application of carbon fiber in mechanical parts and automobile parts, promote technological innovation in machinery, automobile and other industries, and let China's carbon fiber technology take the lead in the world.
Xin Sijin and Zhang Guoliang jointly unveiled the "Guoliang Building". Later, Secretary Xin Sijin, Zhang Guoliang, his wife, Ms. Gao Hui, and Professor Zhou Zude cut the ribbon for the "Guoliang Building" and jointly opened the door of excellence of the "Guoliang Building". All guests came to visit the building and took a group photo. Heads of relevant functional departments of Wuhan University of Technology, members of the leadership team of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, alumni representatives, teachers and students representatives attended the unveiling ceremony.
It is reported that Guoliang Building (Advanced Material Manufacturing Equipment Experiment Building) is located in the east of the building of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the East Campus of the University's Mafangshan Campus. It was donated by Mr. Zhang Guoliang, an outstanding alumnus of Wuhan University of Technology. The building was started in June 2021 and accepted in December 2023.
