Tamil Nadu spinning mill stopped production and suspended supply, boosting buying sentiment in southern India. Although the price of cotton yarn remains stable, there is still hope of rising in the future. As the textile industry is eager to obtain more raw materials, the picking of cotton yarn in Mumbai and Tirupur has increased. It is worth noting that some spinning mills in Tamil Nadu have stopped producing and selling cotton yarn, but the current supply is still sufficient to meet the existing demand. Nevertheless, the news of production suspension and the upcoming holiday demand have boosted market sentiment.

Bombay cotton yarn prices remained unchanged, but demand rose. Due to the reduction of production and supply of spinning mills, the price of cotton yarn is expected to rise, so buyers are eager to obtain cotton yarn. A trader in Mumbai market said: "Although the price of cotton yarn has not yet risen, the trading volume has increased. Cotton yarn in Bhiwandi and Malegaon markets in Mabang is trading well. People have high expectations for the recent rise in yarn prices."

60 counts of combed warp and weft are sold at Rs. 1420-1445 and Rs. 1290-1330 per 5kg (excluding GST). Rs. 325-330/kg for 60 combed warp yarns, Rs. 1325-1350/kg for 80 combed weft yarns, Rs. 254-260/kg for 44/46 combed warp yarns, Rs. 242-246/kg for 40/41 combed warp yarns, Rs. 270-275/kg for 40/41 combed warp yarns.

Driven by the textile industry, the cotton yarn trade in Tirupur also rose. However, yarn prices remained stable. Purusottam Parmanandka, co managing director of Kesharinandan, Tirupur Yarn Trading Company, said: "Some smaller factories have stopped cotton yarn production, which has led to an increase in picking up goods. However, the shutdown has not led to a market shortage."

Rp 255-262 per kg of 30 combed yarns (excluding GST), Rp 265-272 per kg of 34 combed yarns, Rp 275-282 per kg of 40 combed yarns, Rp 230-236 per kg of 30 combed yarns, Rp 238-245 per kg of 34 combed yarns, Rp 241-246 per kg of 40 combed yarns.

Due to concerns about domestic and US crop yields, cotton prices in Gubang have shown an upward trend. Even if it rains heavily in northern India, cotton producing regions in central India are also facing the problem of insufficient rainfall, which may have a negative impact on domestic crops. Due to flood damage and heavy rain, some areas may need replanting. In addition, concerns about the possible damage to cotton crops caused by warming weather in the United States led to an increase in cotton during the ICE period. Gubang cotton price increases by 300 rupees per kandi (356kg). S-6 cotton is quoted at Rs. 56000-56500 per Kandi. The arrival of cotton in Gubang is about 8000 bales (170 kg each), and the arrival of cotton in India is estimated to be 3-32000 bales (170 kg each).
