US Cotton Export Weekly: Cotton Contract Continues To Reduce Shipment And Maintain Stability

According to the US Department of agriculture (USDA) report, on October 2019, 18-24, the US land cotton export volume contracted for 24 thousand and 500 tons in October 2019, a decrease of 23% compared with the previous week, and a decrease of 39% compared with the previous four weeks. The main buyers were Turkey (13 thousand and 700 tons), Pakistan (13 thousand and 700 tons), Vietnam (7121 tons), South Korea (1451 tons), Bangladesh (1270 tons), China (1126 tons), and the abolition of contracts included Indonesia (13 thousand and 600 tons), Philippines (998 ton) and Hongkong area of China (1126 tons). 2019/20 US land cotton export volume of 33 thousand and 800 tons, unchanged from the previous week, 1% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly shipped to Vietnam (10 thousand and 500 tons), Indonesia (3787 tons), Mexico (3583 tons), Pakistan (2540 tons), and China (2245 tons). In the year of 2020/21, the US cotton export volume was 16 thousand and 200 tons, the main buyer was Indonesia.

On the 18-24 day of October 2019, the US contract for the export of Pima cotton was 4921 tons in 2019/20, a significant increase compared with the previous week and the first four weeks. The main buyers were India (2041 tons), Pakistan (1451 tons), China (408 tons), Thailand (408 tons), and Salvatore (340 tons), and the cancellation of the contract was Switzerland (68 tons). In the year of 2019/20, the export volume of American Pima cotton was 1701 tons, 32% less than that of the previous week, 25% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly shipped to India (1429 tons), Pakistan (91 tons), Austria (68 tons) and Peru (45 tons).
