Sichuan's new biomass fiber industry alliance will be held in silliya, Yibin, in 2014. At the meeting, Li Zengjun, Secretary General of the China Association of chemical fiber and biological fiber foundation, delivered a keynote speech on "bio based chemical fiber grade raw materials technology and industry development strategy speech". Li Zengjun said: "bio based materials and bio based chemical fibers are important breakthroughs in the replacement strategy of fossil resources, and they are also an important part of the strategic emerging industries of the country. Vigorously developing bio based materials and bio based chemical fibers is an urgent need for the development of the national economy. It is also the need for the sustainable development of chemical fiber industry and the realization of low-carbon economy. It has important strategic significance for the replacement of fossil resources, the development of circular economy, and the construction of a resource conserving and environment-friendly society.

Alliance chairman, Silvia Feng Tao, chairman and President of the group, said: "the new biomass fiber made by the state is of great strategic significance. The development of the new biomass industry is related to the important strategy of replacing the oil industry and cotton. From the perspective of Sichuan province and our alliance, we must promote cotton to viscose strategy."

Turning to Sichuan's transformation and upgrading to adapt to the adjustment of the national strategy, Feng Tao stressed that the adjustment of the national strategy just fits the important strategic opportunities of the members of our Western Region Alliance, and the textile enterprises in the western region can no longer rely on cotton as the main resource allocation. If this situation is not changed, the situation of "today's hard" and "tomorrow's tragedy" will haunt textile enterprises.
