The fashion series designed by Philippe Guilet for 100%.RO project is exhibited in Bucharest.

The women's dress series, called "Prejudice", is designed by Philippe Guilet. He used to work with Jean-Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld and Thierry Mugler.

The series will be launched in Paris early next year.

He hopes to overturn people's prejudice against this country through this series.

Romania is located in Latin culture, French culture, Balkan culture, Hungarian culture, and Slavic culture, but it still retains the unique European handicrafts.

Philippe Guilet has been living there for more than four years. He said, "Romania is ridiculed, but this country is quite contrary to what people say."

Philippe Guilet served as R & D director of Jean-Paul Gaultier.

His 100%.RO plan is to re interpret the Romania tradition through a new cultural language.

He discovered that local handicraftsmen such as Virginia Linul wore traditional colored glass pearls on clothing, necklaces or belts.

This is a handicraft tradition handed down from generation to generation.

Ana Bodescu is a local village girl who is involved in the production of this fashion series.

"The colors used in our traditional embroidery are colorful," she told reporters.

Virginia Linul, together with these villages, designed embroidery of various traditional costumes, including a matador jacket, pearl necklace Lace Necklace in a black gauze dress, and a suit of tweed style women's suits.

Some designs even require months of working hours and up to several kilograms of pearls.

There are many traditional handicrafts in this rural area, such as woodworking tools originated in sixteenth Century, and artisans who use needles to embroider sheep skins.

The 34 fashions designed by Philippe Guilet are all named after the local women in Romania.

Many of these designs were handled by Constantin Juravle, the more than 60 year old craftsman.

His family made leather processing technology from generation to generation, of which the tailoring technology is more confidential than publicity.

A local silver Smith family has been working on gold and silver jewelry for more than 300 years. They design metal lace for a long skirt.

A total of more than 50 craftsmen participated in the production of this fashion series.

Philippe Guilet said the plan is a perfect combination of modern and traditional technology.

Some of the craftsmen who participated in the project did not even leave their village during their lifetime.

When they appeared in the capital's splendid French mansion, wearing the traditional costumes at the end of the fashion show, together with a number of models, Philippe Guilet and the famous local fashion designers, this "combination" could not help but be moved.

Virginia Linul regrets, "Philippe is from foreign countries, but it loves our traditional handicrafts."

What he has shown is really magnificent.

This has never been done before.

People can see the real side of Romania, which they can't see at ordinary times, and this is the best side.
