In August of this year, the Shaoxing science and Technology Bureau issued a public bidding announcement on tackling key scientific and technological projects through the media. The general technical problems of two printing and dyeing industries, such as sludge disposal, were widely promoted throughout the country.

However, the development of this industry has brought great pressure to the environment. The treatment of printing and dyeing sludge is a difficult problem that puzzles the healthy development of the industry.
Data from the municipal environmental protection department show that the sewage treatment plant currently receiving urban and Shaoxing sewage produces about 3000 tons of sludge every day, accounting for about 7 of the total in Shaoxing county.
"Every ten thousand tons of printing and dyeing wastewater contains 6 tons to 7 tons of sludge, and a large volume of printing and dyeing enterprises sewage is the main source of sludge."
Shaoxing county science and Technology Bureau official told reporters that the current commonly used sludge treatment is by burning or temporary landfill to solve, but to truly achieve harmless disposal, there are still technical.

Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau officials believe that similar printing and dyeing sludge disposal problems encountered in the development, through this form of exploration to solve the problem, for other industries to provide a new way of thinking.
The reporter noted that the bidding for the technical tackling of the whole country has a special precondition for the bidders: the bidder should be a registered and independent legal entity in Shaoxing County, such as a county unit, which must be jointly bid with the enterprises in the county.
"To promote the close cooperation between industry, University and Research Institute, it is also convenient for university research institutions to investigate and understand the actual situation."
County Science and Technology Bureau official said.
It is reported that two projects have 11 units and 6 units bidding, at the recent assessment meeting, Hangzhou Guotai Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and other 3 units are the winning candidate units of the previous project, and 3 units such as Zhejiang Sci-Tech University are the winning candidate units of the latter project. After 7 days of public notice, two projects will be final.
