Thousands Of People In The British Business Community Have Gathered To "Move To Asia &Nbsp, The First Choice For Hongkong" Forum.

Recently, the Hongkong Trade Development Council held a high-level forum on "Hongkong's first choice for Asia" held in the UK to show how Hongkong can help British companies expand their business opportunities in Asia, especially in the mainland of China, attracting more than 1000 local business people.

"The first choice for Hongkong in Asia" is Hongkong's largest promotional event in the UK, with more than 50 Hongkong partners and British institutions in full support.

Several heavyweight speakers include Donald Tsang, the chief executive of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region, Lord Sassoon, the British business secretary of the Treasury, and Lord green, Minister of trade and investment in the UK.

Other heavyweight speakers attending the high-level forum include Fan Zhilian, chairman of HSBC Holdings Group, chairman of Feng Feng Group, Feng Guo Jing, chairman of Michael Miles of Schroder group, Li Dingji, executive director of Jardine group and Zhu Yunlai, President of China International Capital Co.

Lord Sassoon points out that a free floating economy in Hongkong is the best way to attract investors.

Hongkong has obvious advantages as a trading partner. Hongkong has been awarded the freest economic system in the world for 17 consecutive years by the American Heritage Foundation.

Su Zeguang, chairman of the Hongkong Trade Development Council, said that the response of the high-level forum was heartening and encouraging.

He said: with the shift of the global economic centre to Asia, Hongkong has created the best business opportunities in the region with its superior location and free economic system, combined with the increasingly integration of the mainland economy and the entry of British companies into China.
