Ms. Wang Hua is fascinated by the traditional costumes of Miao, Buyi, Yao and Shui Ethnic Groups in Guizhou.

She hoped that she could design some new styles, not only maintaining the traditional characteristics of the ethnic minorities, but also being fashionable and internationalized.

Part of Wang Hua's dream has become a reality. In the Libo minority county of Guizhou Province, the NPC and CPPCC "NPC and CPPCC" recently concluded, all the delegates and members of the CPPCC wore their national costumes. Wang Hua's welcome ethnic costumes designed for some five star hotels in Guiyang were greatly favored by Chinese and foreign tourists.

In April 22nd, the Guizhou national costume of Wang Hua design will appear on the stage of "China international tourism clothing and Accessories Expo" held in Suzhou.

"In the history of Chinese clothing, there is no complete record of clothing of ethnic minorities."

"But the history of Chinese ethnic costume is very distinctive and beautiful. Even in a global perspective, the clothes of ethnic minorities in China are not inferior."

Just after the Spring Festival of 2010, I hope to be here.

Clothing design

There was a breakthrough in the king of a man who came to Guizhou.

She first came to Shiqiao village, Danzhai County, where the legendary "ancient paper-making" attracted her. The white paper produced by Shiqiao Miao nationality villagers was made of paper-cut paper with good flexibility and long storage time. It was one of the traditional Chinese painting paper, and was listed in the national list of intangible cultural heritage protection in 2006.

Wang Hua said that the biggest feature of this ancient papermaking is the original ecology and no pollution.

Although Shiqiao village has been making paper for generations, the Ngao River, which is S shaped around the village foot, is still clear.

Wang Hua wants to use this white paper to design some new styles of clothing to spread the idea of low carbon.

Fu Yingchun, director of the Tourism Bureau of Guizhou, recommended to her that the total population of Libo County in Libo county is 170 thousand, and the minority population is nearly 150 thousand, of which nearly 90% are Buyi, Shui, Yao and Miao.

The traditional style of the national costume is well preserved.

The local people hope to integrate modern elements into the improvement and innovation of national costumes under the premise of maintaining their original traditions.

Wang Hua's design idea is to decorate the neckline with the traditional pattern of "Bai Ku Yao". The median design of the chest is the cloud pattern of the Buyi Nationality. On the both sides of the cloud water pattern is the Miao nationality auspicious totem repair, and the cuffs are designed with the auspicious character of the water book.

The most distinctive feature is the sign of national integration in the middle of the back. It is based on the seal of Yao king, and combines the 4 classical patterns of the world, including the Buyi, Shui, Miao and Yao, symbolizing the great unity of the people of all nationalities in Libo.

This design has been highly recognized by local government departments.

Over the past year, Wang Hua has frequently traveled between Guizhou and Beijing, adding fashion elements to Guizhou's national costume. She is determined to do so.
