In January 15th, the eight three annual meeting of the China Textile entrepreneurs Federation was held in Beijing.

At the meeting, Wang Tiankai, vice president of the China Textile Industry Association, made a report entitled "the operation and future development of the textile industry in 2010".

"In the fifth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, the Party pointed out that during the period of 12th Five-Year, China's development is still in an important period of strategic opportunities that can make great achievements. This is the Central Committee's comprehensive analysis of the international and domestic situation and the important judgement which has been carefully considered. I think this sentence is also applicable to the situation faced by our industry.

The important thing is not only to establish opportunities but also to have a sense of urgency.

Wang Tiankai, vice president of China Textile Industry Association and President of textile entrepreneur association, made the above statement when attending the three enlarged meeting of the eight Chinese textile entrepreneur association.

Development

While explaining the opportunities facing the industry, Wang Tiankai pointed out that although the international economic situation is complicated, we should see that peace, development and cooperation are the mainstream.

To grasp the phased characteristics of China's economic development is the most important aspect to seize opportunities.

This stage characteristic is industrialization, urbanization, marketization, internationalization and informationization.

The relationship between urbanization and industry is most closely.

In 1978, China's urbanization rate reached 15%, now more than 46%.

Urbanization is the most direct source of demand creation.

As far as the textile industry is concerned, urbanization will stimulate the development of the three industries of clothing, home textiles and industry.

Urbanization is necessary for road repair and infrastructure construction. This will require the use of industrial textiles. Urbanization will have to build houses, which will promote the home textile industry. Urbanization will require farmers to enter the city, which requires clothing to be upgraded.

Therefore, the phasing characteristics of China's economic development determine that textile industry still has great potential.

From the national level, the employment problem is a major issue in the future economic development of China.

financial crisis

The three important position of the post nation to the textile industry is very important: traditional pillar industries, important livelihood industries and industries with international competitive advantages. The textile industry will play a great role in solving the employment problem in the future national economic development.

Green textile is the focus of future development

Wang Tiankai stressed that while looking at the opportunities of the industry, we should also see the challenges and constraints faced by the industry in the future development.

The biggest challenge is uneven, uncoordinated and unsustainable development.

From the international perspective, the international financial crisis has far-reaching effects, the endogenous driving force of the world economic recovery is insufficient, and the continuous growth of external demand will be difficult. At the same time, some developing countries compete for the international market with the advantage of lower cost of production factors. The appreciation of RMB and the increase of trade frictions also bring business pressure to export enterprises.

More importantly, from the domestic perspective, it has entered the land.

Raw material

As the cost of labor production factors continues to rise, the traditional economic growth mode is facing new challenges due to the constraint of resources and environment.

Wang Tiankai also pointed out that since the beginning of the new century, the average growth rate of textile fiber processing in China has been 3.4 times that of the world's textile fiber production.

At present, the total fiber processing accounts for more than half of the total fiber processing in the world. During the "12th Five-Year" period, changing the mode of production which relies excessively on resource consumption, strengthening resource recycling and accelerating the development of low-carbon, green and recyclable economy is an important focus of the textile industry's pformation mode of development.

In order to realize the four strategic tasks of textile and technological power, textile brand power, textile talents and powerful textile sustainable development, Wang Tiankai thought that we should make efforts in three aspects, that is, the government should grasp the policy environment, and the association should grasp the direction of industrial adjustment.
