On the first day, the price of academic thought was closed at $15, up 50% from the issue price.


The school issued a total of 12 million US depositary receipts issued at a price of $10 per share, and through the initial public offering (IPO), academic thought raised $120 million.

The price of its shares opened at $14 on Wednesday, up to $15.74 in the session and closed at $15 at the closing times.

After this issue, the total share capital of academic thought will reach 149 million shares, and the share capital will be 16.11%.

Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Piper Jaffray and Oppenheim (Oppenheimer &co.) are listed sponsors of the company.


Of the US listed companies in 2010, three of the top four companies on the first day of growth were from China.

Prior to this, Ambow Education Group (hereinafter referred to as "Ambo") and the world wide education technology group (Global Education & Technology Group Ltd.) have been traded in New York.

The paper submitted to the securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) showed that the company's revenue increased by 86% as of February this year.

Bloomberg data show that in the US initial public offering of shares so far this year, Chinese companies accounted for 6 of the 10 highest share price gains after initial public offering, of which the new Bo Run Group (NASDAQ: BORN) rose by 173%.

According to the IMF's forecast, China's economic growth rate in 2011 will be 9.6%, much higher than 2.2% of developed countries and 2.3% of the United States.


According to the documents submitted by academic thinking, its plan to expand the network of learning center network and service center by US $30 million from the listed funds, and 15 million US dollars to build a national training center.

$30 million is used to pay dividends; about $10 million is used to improve the existing facilities of the company; the remaining funds are used for strategic investment or for external acquisition funds.


Founded in 2003, learning thinking is a primary and secondary education and training institution in China.

At present, learning and thinking set up more than 30 service centers and more than 50 teaching spots in Beijing, covering all the main urban areas of Beijing. In 2008, the company opened branches in Tianjin, Shanghai and Wuhan.

Learning and thinking is set up in the departments of primary school, junior high school, senior middle school, English Department, and family education department. The subjects include primary school Olympiad, English, Chinese, primary and high school mathematics, physics, chemistry, English, Chinese and so on.
