As "the first county of textile and clothing in Anhui", Wangjiang County has completed a transformation and upgrading from "breakpoint" of the industrial chain to "full chain connection" in more than ten years, and has formed a full chain cluster covering cotton planting, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, ready to wear, washing, packaging, and e-commerce sales. In 2024, the total output value of the textile and clothing industry in Wangjiang County will reach 18.15 billion yuan, and the products will be exported to the world.

Breaking the situation: from "broken chain" to "full chain connection". In the early days, Wangjiang textile mainly focused on cotton spinning and garment processing, but the key links such as printing and dyeing, fabric research and development, etc. have long been dependent on the outside, and the industrial chain is in a dilemma of "two ends out". Around 2010, Wangjiang seized the opportunity of coastal textile industry transfer, introduced leading enterprises such as Shenzhou Knitting through "attracting large enterprises and strengthening enterprises", and gradually supplemented the short board of the industrial chain.

Drive: dual empowerment of policy and technology. Wangjiang listed textile and clothing industry as the "first industry", launched the "20 Articles for the Development of Textile and Clothing Industry", set up an industrial fund and a free access fund pool to support the technological transformation and upgrading of enterprises. Through intelligent transformation, Liangliang Textile has doubled its production efficiency and increased its annual output by 250 million yuan. Rely on the industrial Internet platform, carry out digital transformation, promote the "integration of data and reality", build an industrial Internet platform, enable 68 enterprises to complete digital diagnosis, the daily delivery of e-commerce base reaches 400000 pieces, and the annual sales of the sales platform "Liehuo.com" exceeds 50 million yuan.

Chain extension: from "single point breakthrough" to "ecological synergy". Wangjiang takes "four from four to" as the goal to build an industrial ecology covering all categories. Driven by the leading enterprise Shenzhou Knitting, it has attracted more than 1000 upstream and downstream enterprises to gather, forming supporting clusters such as embossing, viscose, printing and dyeing, washing, etc. Actively integrate into the Yangtze River Delta, cooperate with industry associations in Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places, and promote "double recruitment and double introduction". In 2024, Wangjiang County attracted 14 textile and clothing projects, with a total investment of 4.3495 billion yuan, especially Wangjiang Textile, Shepherd Fabric and other large and good projects to further promote the transformation and upgrading of Wangjiang textile and clothing industry.

From "weaving" to "intelligent manufacturing", from "lack of dyeing and less finishing" to "link to the world", the development of Wangjiang textile confirms the feasible path of transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.
