In the exhibition hall of Shengze National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, a striking white wall is densely pasted with various titles such as "Textile Chip Fiber Silicon Valley" and "Shengze Weaving Best in the World". Looking from a distance, these fonts are ingeniously condensed into two big words "Shengze" under the artistic arrangement, With a strong visual impact, Shengze, as a national textile city, has demonstrated its responsibility and mission in the new era.
Shengze Town is one of the regions with the highest concentration of textile industry in the world. The annual output of all kinds of textiles exceeds 13 billion meters. It has a complete industrial chain supply chain of "from a drop of oil to a piece of cloth". Backed by this important textile town, the national advanced functional fiber innovation center led by Shenghong Holding Group is one of the seven national manufacturing innovation centers in the field of new materials, and also the first national manufacturing innovation center led by private enterprises in China. With a total investment of 1.15 billion yuan and an area of 225.5 mu, the project will build an innovation center industrial park integrating R&D laboratories, testing centers and pilot bases, focusing on the efficient and flexible preparation technology of fiber materials, and the research and development of cutting-edge fiber new materials and other fiber common key technologies. This is the 13th national manufacturing innovation center in China, the first national manufacturing innovation center in Jiangsu Province, and the first national manufacturing innovation center led by private enterprises in China.
The innovation center is operated in the mode of "company+alliance". Relying on the market-oriented operation of Jiangsu New Vision Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center Co., Ltd., it gathers more than 160 alliance members, including leading enterprises, well-known universities, research institutes, etc., to promote the linkage of high-quality innovation resources and accelerate the emergence of innovative achievements. By promoting scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the integration of innovation chain and industrial chain, drive the upgrading of industrial chain, and activate the new quality productivity of traditional textile industry.
The display of the national flag on the moon of Chang'e-5 mission is a classic work of enterprise school cooperation. It was developed by Wuhan University. With special environmental requirements such as high and low temperature alternation, vacuum and radiation on the moon surface, it mainly uses domestic high-performance aramid fiber materials, adopts advanced embedded composite spinning and fabric processing technology, and has invented a number of finishing technologies such as color construction of the national flag surface and ultraviolet radiation resistance, which has achieved stable performance under extreme environment and long-term conditions on the moon surface.
The innovation center has not only made remarkable achievements in technology research and development, but also made important contributions to the development of the service industry. The "thermal management application technology of graphene carbon nanotube composite conductive fiber and fabric" developed by the R&D team of the Innovation Center has been applied in multiple scenarios such as thermal support facilities of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and smart clothing. In 2024, this related technology has made further progress. The research and development team of the center has conquered the key technology of carbon nanotube composite conductive film, moved from laboratory technology research and development, pilot test base verification, to mass production, and achieved the breakthrough of core scientific and technological achievements from "laboratory" to "industrialization" zero, and really went to the market.
Since last year, the R&D building of the Innovation Center has been officially opened, marking that China has taken another solid step in promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading of advanced functional fibers. Wang Yuping, director of the innovation center, said that standing at a new starting point in the field of textile fiber research and development, the innovation center will continue to take the "leader" attitude, unswervingly deepen the integration of government, industry, university and research, and is committed to breaking the bottleneck of industry development, accelerating the application and transformation of innovation achievements, and injecting strong scientific and technological momentum into high-quality development of the industry.
