   Marines Lagemaat, Director of Science and Technology Affairs, European Nonwovens Association (EDANA) In his speech, he said that since the last Asia Europe Geosynthetics Conference was held in 2019, this time he co organized a meeting with the China Industrial Textile Industry Association to meet with the industry in Tai'an. In the past five years, EDANA has organized many related professional conferences to focus on the development of geosynthetics. With the increasing requirements of industry development on environmental protection, the Association pays more attention to the impact on the environment. EDANA looks forward to more extensive cooperation with the industry, forming joint forces, and better building the future of the industry.

   Li Lingshen, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation In his speech, he pointed out that geotextile for construction is one of the earliest and most mature fields of industrial textiles, which greatly supports the development and application of infrastructure and construction in China. China's geosynthetics play a key role in global engineering construction. Their material properties are increasingly recognized and have been widely used in water conservancy, railway, highway, airport, urban construction, reclamation of land from the sea, ecological restoration and other projects. Focusing on the innovation and sustainable development of textile geosynthetics industry, Li Lingshen put forward three suggestions: first, improve the scientific and technological innovation ability and improve the collaborative innovation system. 2、 Promote the green development model and explore the path of sustainable development. 3、 Strengthen the docking of production and demand and international cooperation, and build an industrial "community of shared future".

Taking projects in railway, highway, water conservancy, mining area, port, municipal administration, construction and other related fields as examples, this paper analyzes the specific application of geotextiles in engineering. Li Guimei said that green manufacturing empowerment, intelligent technology assistance, standard quality improvement, and engineering application expansion will become an important direction for the development of China's land, industrial and construction textiles. In the future, the industry needs to continuously forge the "long board" of the industry, expand cross-border applications, and form a revolutionary alternative; Enhance the endogenous power of development with intelligent technology; Assist the "Belt and Road" and stabilize the driving force of industrial development; Improve standard quality and promote healthy and sustainable development; Cultivate innovation platforms, carry out advanced applications and demonstration projects, and better promote high-quality development of the industry.

He said that geosynthetics can extend the service life of roads, reduce the use of aggregates, save and protect water resources, and control soil erosion. IGS has carried out long-term education and science popularization to promote the sustainable development of geosynthetics from multiple dimensions such as quality, design and manufacturing. He introduced the application of geosynthetics in sustainable development and innovative solutions, as well as the IGS sustainability calculator as an excellent tool for planning and designing sustainable infrastructure, to assess the benefits of its application in carbon reduction and energy conservation.

   Han Xiaomei, Senior Engineer of General Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design, Ministry of Water Resources In the report titled "Application and Prospect of Geosynthetics in Water Resources and Hydropower Projects", the classification and functions of geosynthetics are briefly described, and the application of geosynthetics such as geomembrane, geotextile, drainage board, geogrid, geomembrane bag concrete and geocell in seepage prevention, drainage, filtration and protection in water resources and hydropower projects is summarized. At the same time, combined with the detection and test of geomembrane and geogrid, the performance of geosynthetics is explained, and four problems in the application of geosynthetics in water conservancy and hydropower projects are discussed and relevant suggestions are put forward.

   Daniele Cazzuffi, former chairman of the International Geosynthetics Society and chairman of the Technical Committee of Geosynthetics of the European Committee for Standardization The key elements of sustainable development are introduced under the title of "Overall situation - geosynthetics and environment: sustainable elements and climate change issues", focusing on the possible release of microplastics from geosynthetics in soil and environment. At the same time, the report lists specific historical cases to illustrate, analyzes the remarkable effect of the use of geotextiles in reducing CO2 emissions and micro plastic emissions, and emphasizes the advantages of using geosynthetics in mountain areas to cope with the increasingly serious climate change problem. Combining with practical application cases, it shows that geomembranes can be used in artificial snow factory reservoirs to store water, The use of geotextile can effectively reduce the melting problem of ice and snow in glaciers.

   Matthias Maisner, Material Engineer, Building Materials Department, German Federal Waterway Engineering Research Institute Sharing the Thoughts on the Application of Geotextiles in European Navigable Waterway Hydraulic Engineering. The EU has one of the longest inland waterway navigation networks in the world, and geotextile has outstanding advantages as a filter required by waterway. He introduced the declaration of CE mark for building materials products in the EU internal market, the requirements for regulations and product functions of building materials products, and the characteristics and performance requirements of geotextiles for water conservancy projects. He interpreted several application cases of geotextiles in waterways in combination with relevant products and technical standards.

He said that the annual trade volume of global commodities has increased from about $5 trillion in 1996 to $25 trillion today. International standards are the basis for promoting the growth of international trade. The report introduces the development origin, overall objectives and specific work of ISO, as well as the specific work of the Geosynthetics Technical Committee of ISO TC221 in various fields. It emphasizes ISO's concern for sustainability and how to enhance the concept of sustainable development in all standards, especially geosynthetics standards.

M waterstop was first applied to the deep and medium channel project and promoted in the Dalian Bay subsea tunnel project. In view of the problems of the existing M waterstop, such as bulkiness, difficulty in installation, uncontrollable running track, etc., the project has developed a new suspended sliding M waterstop structure, which provides a new sealing material solution for the underwater engineering field.

   Sun Gemei, Special Chief Engineer of Engineering Testing Center of Shanghai Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd According to the technical background of geosynthetics and the application and testing requirements of geosynthetics in domestic projects, in the report Analysis of Test Key Points and Test Influencing Factors in the Application of Geosynthetics in Domestic Projects, the relevant influencing factors of some performance quality tests were analyzed, including sampling, sample preparation, environmental conditions, instruments, equipment and accessories, testing personnel Various influences of test methods, test speed and other factors. The report points out that understanding the adverse factors in the testing process will play an important role in preventing and controlling engineering quality risks related to geosynthetics, reducing testing errors and ensuring engineering quality.
