With the improvement of the living conditions of the national economy, the concept of children's clothing consumers has changed a lot, and consumers' demands for the safety of children's clothing are getting higher and higher.

The safety of consumer goods, especially the safety of children's clothing, is becoming the focus of social attention.

For example, a child's shirt hat and neck strap are easily caught and dangerous. When pulling up or down, the drawstring of the waist or lower part of children's coat is easy to hook and cause towing accidents.

Potential mechanical safety hazards include slipping, slipping, falling, choking, vomiting, suffocating death, strangulation, entangling, lacerations, and blood circulation obstruction, all of which pose a danger to children and threaten the precious little life.

For children's physical and mental health, comprehensive prevention should be strengthened.

Under the leadership of the National Standardization Management Committee and the China Textile Industry Association, the national garment Standardization Technical Committee, in accordance with the "11th Five-Year" and "12th Five-Year" development plan of the technical committee, promotes our country.

The overall technical level is aimed at continuously improving the standard and technical level of garment standards in China, and further improving and perfecting the standard system of China's garment industry.

The children's safety clothing standard is established on the basis of the original garment industry standard system, and further standardizing and guiding the production and sale of children's clothing in China. It plays a positive role in promoting and protecting the clothing trade in China.

Two. Comparison of children's clothing standards at home and abroad

(1) the basic standard of Chinese children's clothing corresponds to the basic standards (anthropometry, clothing size) in line with international standards, and truly reflects the physical characteristics of Chinese children.

China's clothing standard system has a complete structure. In the clothing category of children's clothing, there are two national standards of GB/T22044-2008 "body measurements for infant clothing" and "GB/T1335.3-2009" children's clothing.

Among them, GB/T22044-2008 is not equivalent to the parts and methods of anthropometric measurements for infant clothing. The American Standard of testing and materials society ASTMD4910-07 infant body measurement standard form 0 to 24 (English version).

GB/T1335.3-2009 "clothing size children" corresponds to the international ISO standard series (clothing size system and code name), but the ISO standard refers to the somatotype of Europe and the United States, which can not reflect the body shape characteristics of China. Therefore, the GB/T1335 "clothing size" based on Chinese anthropometric data is more suitable for children's clothing industry in China.

(two) basic safety technical specifications. China's national standards are based on basic standards and product standards.

The basic safety technical requirements have been specified in detail. All children's garments produced and sold in China are required to meet GB18401-2010's "basic safety technical specification for national textile products", FZ/T81003-2003 "children's clothing, student clothes" or "FZ/T81014-2008 infant clothing".

The basic safety technical specifications for children's clothing in China have reached the advanced level of foreign countries, basically consistent with the requirements of the European Union and Japan, and are stricter than those of other countries.

(two) the safety problems of safety products such as drawstring and ropes, especially the safety of children's clothing, are becoming the focus of social attention.

The national garment Standardization Technical Committee has formulated the three national standards for GB/T22705-2008 children's wear rope and belt safety requirements, GB/T22702-2008 "children's wear safety belt specifications" and "GB/T22704-2008 implementation specification for improving the safety of children's clothing design and production" according to the principle of bidding and combining with China's national conditions.

The safety plays a guiding and normative role to reduce the danger that children's clothing may bring, and provides technical support for the safety of clothing consumption for infants and children, so that the safety requirements of children's clothing in China can reach agreement with foreign standards, raise higher requirements for the management and production of domestic garment enterprises, solve the problem of international trade technical barriers thoroughly, promote international cooperation and trade, and make foreign consumers full of confidence in the quality of Chinese products.

The safety standards of children's clothing in China have been revised partly compared with the standards of children's clothing safety in foreign advanced countries.

GB/T22704-2008 features of the standard for the design and implementation of children's clothing design to improve mechanical safety: (1) the content is consistent with foreign standards.

(2) GB/T22704-2008 revised the adoption of the British standard BS7907:1997 "code of practice for design and production of children's clothing for improving mechanical safety".
