China's Cotton And National Cotton Brand

 

In December 28, 2010, "the beginning of a better life in China's cotton" hosted by the China Cotton Association.

Held in Beijing, the conference aims to promote the "China Cotton (COTTONCHINA)" logo and advocate the concept of "high quality, pure cotton and environmental protection".


China's cotton industry is a huge industry supported by 100 million cotton farmers, 20 million textile workers and millions of circulation workers.

China's cotton production ranks first in the world, with an annual output of 600~800 million tons, accounting for about 30% of the world's total output. China's cotton consumption ranks first in the world, with annual consumption of about 10 million tons, accounting for 40% of world consumption. China's textile and clothing output and export volume are the world's top, clothing exports account for 33% of the world's total, and textile exports account for 26%.


In addition to the yield advantage, China's cotton quality is also at the international level.

The traditional manual picking method will not destroy the length of cotton fiber and the wax layer on the surface. It has low impurity content in cotton, and has the advantages of good color, high grade, less impurities, long fiber, nep and short fiber content.

Due to its unique natural conditions and large-scale and controllable irrigation system, Xinjiang is the largest cotton producing base in China and is well known in the world.


Similarly, China's textile industry has a complete industrial system, a mature industrial chain and a high-quality industrial team. China can produce almost any quality or grade of textile and clothing at competitive prices.

Through the hands of Chinese skilled craftsmen, consumers in China and around the world have enjoyed quality and affordable Chinese textiles and clothing.


But in the process of moving from "big cotton country" to "strong country in cotton industry", China's cotton textile industry still has a long way to go in the process of "made in China" to "create in China".

The volume expansion mode has been difficult to sustain. Chinese textile industry must pay attention to brand and high value-added products.

As a big cotton producing country, China has never owned its own cotton brand for a long time.

To promote the whole industry, there are successful precedents both at home and abroad.

China Cotton Association hopes that consumers can recognize and use high-quality cotton products through non-profit promotion activities, and ultimately realize: consumers benefit, cotton farmers benefit, enterprises benefit, China benefits, and the Earth benefits.


In January 15, 2010, the China Cotton Association held a press conference on "China cotton" logo and opened a prelude to promotional activities.

China's Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo is the quality certification mark registered by the China Cotton Association in the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and commerce.

The meaning it represents is: homemade, China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo products, the use of domestic cotton must reach 60% and above; pure cotton, China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo products, its cotton fiber content must reach 95% and above; quality, China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo products, its internal quality and appearance quality requirements should meet the corresponding products of the existing national or industry standard of superior quality indicators, in line with the requirements of environmental protection.


The use of China's Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo requires three passes: one is cotton raw materials, two is product quality, and three is eco environmental protection.


In order to ensure the standardized and orderly development of the "China cotton" logo promotion work, the association has done a lot of basic work in the past year: formulated the "China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo usage management manual" and "China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo Technology Manual"; set up the corresponding internal management organization; designed and completed the China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo label style and China Cotton (COTTONCHINA) logo usage guide; launched the "China cotton" website, set up China's cotton, cotton fashion, cotton story, LOHAS era and other multi plate.
